Every show on the Podshelf already belongs to one of these by genre. Open a pod to see who is in it, who leads it, and when it hosts. One home pod per show, and nobody has to pick before their first visit. A meetup with every show in the state in the room is a party, not a working group. This is the working group.

Pick a pod
Your show goes in a pod by genre when it joins the shelf. Not sure which one fits? Come to a pod night as a guest. First visit is free, same as the chapter meetups.
Show up
Each pod hosts one monthly chapter meetup a year and keeps a thread running in between. The host pod sets the topic, brings the guests, and runs the room that month.

Every pod needs a leader who knows the genre and likes people. Volunteer seat, a couple hours a month, and the meetup you host is yours to shape. Applications are open.

October belongs to ARKAST. Ten of the other months belong to the pods, one apiece, and the host pod picks the theme for that month's chapter meetups in Little Rock and Northwest Arkansas. The twelfth month is the board's call.
Months lock once the pod leaders are confirmed. Until then every slot reads TBA on purpose.

Pod leaders are working podcasters, not staff. If you know your genre and you are the person who already introduces people at meetups, this is the seat for you. One group thread, one hosted month, one genre.

No. Membership does not require it. Your show lands in a pod by genre when it goes on the shelf, and you can show up to any pod night you want. Picking one just means you have a home room.
Every show has one home pod so the rotation and the leader roster stay simple. If you make a true crime show about Razorback football, tell us which room you want and we will put you there.
Yes. Listeners join the pod for the genre they follow. Businesses join the pod where their customers are listening. Down the road, a business will be able to fund ads across the shows in its pod from this site, and the pod splits the work.
First visit is free, same as the chapter meetups. After that, pods are a membership benefit, and every program is included with one membership.
Runs the room. Welcomes new hosts, keeps the group thread alive between meetups, and hosts the chapter meetup the month their pod is up. It is a volunteer seat, and applications are open on this site.
Same two places the Collab already meets: Little Rock for the Central Arkansas chapter and the Bentonville-Fayetteville corridor for Northwest Arkansas. Pod threads run online between meetups.
