WHAT THIS POD IS // WHO IT'S FOR

THE ROOM.

Capitol View, Lady Justice, immigration stories in Spanish, and the shows that argue about what Arkansas should do next. This pod is for hosts who cover the news or make it, and it includes a fair number of people who have done this for a living in radio and print.

Deadline production is the shared skill. A news show cannot sit on an episode for a week. The pod talks about turnaround, about sourcing, about staying fair when the host has an opinion, and about the difference between a podcast and a press release.

Pod nights are about turnaround time, sourcing, and keeping a point of view without losing the audience that disagrees. Between meetups the pod keeps a thread going, and the month this pod hosts, it sets the theme for both chapter meetups.

This pod does not have a leader yet. The seat is a volunteer role for a working podcaster in the genre: welcome new hosts, keep the thread alive, and run the chapter meetup the month this pod hosts.
