About This Pod

What this pod covers.

This is the largest pod in the Collab. It covers corporate work in Bentonville, real estate in Little Rock, career coaching, insurance, and the trades. The shows have in common a host who interviews people about how they earn a living, and who usually runs a business of their own.

The recurring questions here are practical ones: how to book a guest with less free time than you have, whether a sponsor read belongs in the show at all, and how a company podcast should sound if it is not going to be an advertisement. Several hosts in the pod have already worked through all three.

This pod is also open to businesses that do not produce a podcast. A company that wants to reach Arkansas listeners can join, meet the hosts, and find shows worth sponsoring. The Collab plans to let a business fund ads across the shows in this pod directly from this site, with the pod dividing the production work. The advertise page is the current starting point.

Pod nights usually cover guest strategy, sponsorship, and how to ask clients and customers to listen. Between meetups the pod stays in touch in a group thread, and during its host month it sets the theme for both chapter meetups.
