Past Episode Ten
Long-term support for established shows.
Long-term support is for podcasters who have already published at least ten episodes. The program covers the questions that come up at that stage: distribution, audience growth, guest booking, production reviews, and sponsorship.
Free podcasting guides tend to stop at launch, and there is much less material on running a show at episode forty. This program is for Arkansas podcasters who are already publishing consistently and want to plan the next year of the show.
The program has no fixed curriculum, because the questions at this stage differ from show to show and usually come with a deadline. Common examples include needing a media kit by next month, diagnosing a flat download chart, reaching a guest who has not answered email, and getting an outside listener to review three episodes.
Long-term support runs through ARKAST membership. Most engagements are short projects worked through with someone from the Collab who has handled the same question. Mentorship is the ongoing weekly relationship, and long-term support is project work that can run alongside it. Classes stay available for refreshing a specific skill.
At this stage the useful work is a small number of planned decisions each quarter, made with enough lead time to act on them.
What's Included
What the program covers.
Most podcasters in the program use two or three of these areas in a given quarter.
Guest booking
Help writing the request, building a target list of guests, and using the Collab’s network to reach people who do not respond to cold email.
Distribution strategy
A review of which platforms your listeners use and whether your hosting provider, transcripts, and video clips are earning the time you spend on them.
Audience growth
Cross-promotion with other Arkansas shows, guest and audience swaps between networks, and growth tactics that work over a season rather than a single week.
Production reviews
An outside review of three of your episodes, with written notes on pacing, structure, sound quality, hosting choices, and which item to fix first.
Sponsorship readiness
How to write an accurate media kit, which metrics sponsors ask for, and how to judge whether your download numbers are in the range sponsors buy.
ARKAST visibility
How to get on the schedule for ARKAST live sessions, how awards consideration works, and which parts of the festival reach the largest audiences.
How It Works
How an engagement starts.
Tell us where the show is
A short intake form asks about your show, how many episodes you have published, and the one or two questions you want answered this quarter.
Get matched to the right help
We pair you with a Collab member or staff lead whose experience fits your question. One person stays responsible for the engagement, even when several people contribute.
Run the sprint
Most engagements run a few weeks around a single goal and end with a document, such as a media kit, a guest plan, a production review, or a distribution audit.
FAQ
Common questions.
Podcasters who have already published at least ten episodes and are past the launch phase. The questions at this stage differ from the ones a new show has, and the program is scoped to them.
Yes. Long-term support runs through the same membership as mentorship. The free 7-day trial covers the rest of the membership if you want to look first.
Mentorship is a weekly working relationship covering the basics of growing a show. Long-term support is for podcasters with an established show who need specific help on a deadline, such as preparing for a sponsorship conversation, getting a production review, or running a guest booking push.
Long-term support is included in ARKAST membership. Some specialized services may carry an at-cost fee when a third-party expense is involved, such as paid distribution tools or studio time for live recordings.
We can help you judge whether sponsorships make sense for your show size and category, write a media kit, and prepare for the conversation. The Collab does not broker sponsorship deals.
